The Blessing of this Age, Don Abadie

A number of years ago I was unhappy with my life. I got down on my knees and cried to the Lord to save me and give me a purpose for living. I met the Lord in a real way and He drew me from the world and many things I had been involved in.

My Christian life at this point was shallow, and my knowledge and understanding of the Bible was shallow and superficial. I loved the Lord, but everything in my experience of Christ was all for myself and what the Lord could do for me. No one in the Christian circles that I knew could tell me that the Lord also had a need for satisfaction.

One wonderful day I met two brothers from the local church that were filled with the divine eternal life of Jesus. They led me to experience calling on the Lord's name for the first time in my life. I touched the Lord in my spirit in a way that woke me up and raised me from the dead.

I began to attend the meetings of the local church in Houston. Immediately, I was at home. Through the ministry of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee I was led to enjoy the lovely presence of the dear Lord Jesus. I learned that God saved me for His eternal purpose. Out of love for Him I was willing to consecrate myself for the building up of the Body of Christ to bring in the Kingdom of the Heavens and the consummation of the New Jerusalem.

Through the ministries of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee, my mother and I have been kept in the enjoyment of Christ and the practice of the church life for almost 26 years. Through these two brothers the riches of God's Word have been unlocked for us. The Bible is not just knowledge to us anymore, but has become food and drink for our inner man.

I fully realize that if it had not been for the ministry of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee my Christian life might have remained only a journey in the wilderness. I may never have been able to enter into and enjoy Christ as my good land. I thank and praise the Lord Jesus for His mercy toward me.
